This is a very rare Abercrombie & Fitch factory-made hat. Estimated to be from the 60s vintage. Abercrombie is also pictured for reference, but is not included.
The quality is first-class, as it was made by Abercrombie during the time Hemingway loved it. It is elaborate, with lace-like ribbons and feather-like straw specially prepared in multiple colors. It is casual, but upon closer inspection, you will notice that it is a neat hand-woven hat. I think gentlemen of the past often wore tailored suits with casual hats, so they must have cherished such neat and well-made hats, even for casual wear.
